Andrew E. Nelson, President/CEO an engaging family man and avid golfer with a sense of humor and clear vision of San Diego’s rosy future now owns the firm. Nelson, raised in Del Mar, graduated from University of California, Santa Barbara in 1966 and joined the United States Navy. Based at the Miramar Naval Air Station, and serving as a flight officer in the F-4 Phantom, Nelson flew off the USS Coral Sea during the Vietnam conflict. He started his career in residential sales in 1974 and joined Willis Allen Real Estate in 1977. Within three years he was both a top salesman and President of the firm. He and his wife, Tracy, reside in La Jolla where they raised their three children.

Under Nelson’s leadership, Willis Allen Real Estate has become one of the largest and most profitable independently owned real estate firms in the region, with seven offices and 160 agents. Nelson and Willis Allen Real Estate sales agents are deeply entrenched in the communities they serve, contributing time, energy, and financial assistance to civic, educational, charitable and other organizations.
